Taking Notes is Important
As you move through Adore: Mastering the Art of Self-Love, I highly recommend you take notes and keep track of your a-ha moments. Here's some things to keep in mind:
- I recently watched an episode of “She Takes On The World,” where host, Natalie MacNeil talks with Jim Kwik, a world expert in speed-reading, memory improvement, and optimal brain performance. Jim says that, while listening to a podcast (or in this case, an online course), taking notes with paper and pen is better than say typing your notes because it forces you to filter the important information so that you’re only writing down key ideas that are most important to you.
- Also, according to a Forbes article written by Nancy Olson, writing things in your own handwriting is powerful. She writes, "Apparently sequential hand movements, like those used in handwriting, activate large regions of the brain responsible for thinking, language, healing and working memory."
- You can use the worksheet I'm providing or record your thoughts in your journal.
Don't forget to hit me up and let me know what your greatest takeaways are, what concepts you're struggling with, tremendo a-ha moments you're having. Your feedback helps me to improve this course and I want to hear from you. Send me an e-mail at [email protected].
